oh Friday...

Happy Friday dear friends!! Gosh, I love Fridays, especially after 5:30 when my work day is O.V.E.R. And here on the east coast we're experiencing a very mild winter and I'm kinda lovin it.

So I woke up this morning and turned the Christmas tree lights on (just can't resist) and my Praise and Worship station on Pandora, then the first thought that came to mind was my blog. Admittedly, I don't often think about my blog, as evidenced by the last post on November 9th, but here I am in my robe and typing away. So, with nothing planned to write let's just go for it with a little of this and that on a Friday morning :)

A few times I've asked for your prayers due to my health. I still don't have a diagnosis but results are pointing to MS (Multiple Sclerosis). So far it's affecting my arms and part of my right hand. Meds are helping on that end but I am a little worried (ok a lot worried) about my future BUT my faith is strong and I know I will get through this. Keep those prayers coming:)

And I guess I should have mentioned way back that my little group of faux soldered ornaments from a few posts back are in the current issue of Somerset Life!!! I actually just received them back, and love them even more than when I sent them off on their journey. I may sell a few in my shop, still debating on that. If anyone out there has some interest in giving one of them a home I would love to know.

Lastly, before I start getting ready for work, I've decided to craft even through the aches and pains because it's my passion and I won't surrender it to an illness for as long as I can. You artists and crafters, doers and mamas know what I'm talking about :) So here's a glimpse of some of my latest creations...
shabby chic fabric gift card holders

and couldn't resist a bit winter tartan ones too

a dress form ornament, love its simplicity

and shabby chic jingles, love....

Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my Friday morning ramblings.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend,

Hello Abby~
I was so glad to see you've posted! I've been following, long before I started blogging: )I've seen your beautiful soldered ornaments! and am a big fan of Stampingtons magazines! I love to see your creations displayed there!
The fabric gift card holders are so clever! and an unexpected delight to the recipient! Lovely idea. And the Jingle bell strand? *sigh* gorgeous~ : ) And the dress form is so cute and would be a wonderful little gift. Thank you for sharing. And my prayers are with you. My husband struggled with MS for many years. But he was still able to create! and was an excellent wood carver...

Abby, these are so beautiful and I would treasure having one of these! If you do sell them, I would be very interested. So very sorry to hear of the possible diagnosis on your health. I pray the outcome will not be as hard for you. Best wishes to you for a lovely and joyous Christmas.
Warmest thoughts and prayers for you.

I'm so sorry to hear of your health struggles:( Do you follow Olivia's Romantic Home blog? She went through somewhat of the same thing a few years back, at times she couldn't even get out of bed. I'm not sure what her ending DX was but I know it took a long time and a lot of tests, you could possibly reach out to her.

Despite your pain, you're still able to create some of the most beautiful items! Everything is gorgeous!!! Hugs!

I am almost always "quiet"...but I love your work...and I'm so sorry to hear about your health issues. I have lupus and lots of pain. I'm an artist (pen and ink drawings/watercolor) but I still try to keep creating something. It may be a small drawing, like in the small old journal I'm using now, but it gives me a feeling that is so rewarding. You'll be in my prayers. Pain can strip one...but God is stronger. That truth gives me courage. ;)

Hi Abby, I am just reading this post now, after the new year, after reading your recent post. I am sorry to hear of your health issues and the possibility of having MS. I pray you will find some answers soon. The gift card holders are sweet and the tartan looks like the Gordon Dress tartan. Made me smile. :) I wish you a very blessed year and better health. Hugs. Pam
