life interrupted

Hello there friends! Well, this past week I've been preparing for an unexpected Tonsillectomy that is scheduled for this Wednesday....and from what I have learned it is VERY painful to have this done as an adult. I am expected to be in pain for up to two weeks, and yes I'm scared! This happens to fall smack in the middle of my birthday and Valentine's Day....ugh. Please send your prayers my way that all goes well dear friends.

And you know I can't leave you without a pretty picture....I happen to take this photo for a customer who requested a picture of some ribbon colors that may work for her. I love that even a simple stack of ribbon can exude loveliness.

until next time,
abby

P.S. I had plans to share pictures of some of my latest LOVE inspired creations but they'll have to wait until after V-Day.....a bit late by then....hope you don't mind:)

Oh wow, I didn't even know they removed adults tonsils! My youngest son had his tonsils and adenoids removed when he was 13. I hope your surgery goes smoothly and yuck on the stinky timing of it! Eat lots of ice cream:)

I had mine when I was very little, and all I remember is getting ice cream to eat afterwards.
Take care & feel better soon!

Abby,

I know it is scary to face any surgery, or the idea of pain, and I will be praying for your complete, quick and pain free recovery. I also understand all too well what it is like to be sick for holidays or birthdays. Maybe you can plan to celebrate them after your are recovered and can enjoy them completely? Just a thought. . . . I wish you all the best and will be praying for you. Please don't even think about posts or blog stuff, just concentrate on taking good care of YOU, we will all be here when you get back!

Hugs,
Maureen

Oh dear...that is rotten timing isn't it. Isn't that JUST LIKE LIFE.
I remember a very long time ago, when my sister got her tonsils out, I like to snitch the Aspergum the Dr. gave her. I thought it tasted good.
MAYBE that is why, still today, I love sucking on aspirins.

Oh, dear Abby, I'm hoping that all goes well with your surgery and that you don't have too much pain. I have read that as an adult it can be very painful but also so worth it to have it done. Sending you get well, birthday and Valentine's Day wishes all together. Lots of love, G

I had that surgery as an adult. Warm root beer saved me from starvation. It was just awful. That was 60 years ago and I've never forgotten the pain. Good luck.
