Quote of the Day

(Photo via)

Today instead of a quote I'd love to share a snippet from an article that I LOVE and find myself returning to it over and over again...it's by Corey Amaro and it's in the July 2009 Issue of Somerset Life....

Invitation to Dream

Within each of us there is a dream wanting to wake up and become real, tangible, whole, and complete. Within each of use there is a past, present, and future collaborating with the scribe of our script. Within each of us there is a history buried, wanting to be born anew. Within each of us we have cells that connect us to the sun, the universe, and the bottom of the sea. Within each of us we carry the invitation to dream.

Corey goes on to share lessons to celebrate our dreams...

Lesson 1: You are beautiful. Just the way you are. Believe that your body is a sacred temple, unfolding like a graceful rose. Trust that your beauty is evident.

Lesson 2 (my favorite): Whisper your name on things that you find attractive. Do you know they are a reflection of you? If you see something intriguing, something that makes your heart flip-flop , whisper your name on it.

Lesson 3: Let life kiss your hand. Kiss the hand of time. Pronounce wrinkles as trophies for a life worth living. Dye your hair red, or let it go white. Dare to be who you are...wear yellow socks and a pink bra...and forget about "not having anything to wear". There is no other time than now to enjoy the day-to-day moment of who you are.

Lesson 4: Caress the ideas of wishful thinking. Learn the habit of daydreaming. Practice pretending. Wear a ring on your little finger, preferably oversized and sparkly. Tie a ribbon around your ankle. Use adjectives like glorious, gorgeous, and scrumptious. Dream as a way of being. Cast your gaze on the moment and label it good.

I hope you love it as much as I do!

xo,

Abby

Good Morning, Abby!! I love this article sooo much, I am printing it out right now, to keep among my treasures that I love to read and look at often. It really should be read by everyone and used as a daily reminder of all that we should be and do!! You really do come up with the best ideas to read! ( I sort of already do the one about a pink bra and yellow socks, drives my kids crazy!! LOL)
Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such a sweet comment!!
Hugs,
Teri

Oh, this is so good and worthy of printing out to look at often! I especially like No. 3 (having the grey hair and the wrinkles already LOL) but the rest of it is brilliant too. Thanks so much for sharing it Abby. Also thanks for stopping by my little blog and leaving a sweet comment.
