Halloween mantel in progress...

I'm still working on my Halloween inspired mantel...
I suspect I will be tweeking it often until the very end :)
for now though I'll share what I have thus far...but please forgive the dark pictures.....
dusk was making its entrance sooner than expected....
to start....everything you see here was already in my home....that's right, zero cost....
my goal was to create an elegant yet shabby scene that began with
a few pillar candles wrapped with vintage sheet music and tattered ribbon....
accompanied by a few more pillars in vintage jars....
...and silver and shabby candle holders...
...a few spooks to make my girl happy....
...and a bit more vintage lace threaded with black ribbon and a smidge more vintage sheet music
snuggly wrapped around another of my "everlasting" candles....

all atop a stage of vintage lace...
casually, carelessly draped.....
a few more tealites to sprinkle throughout are still  in order...
and thoughts of other touches to consider....
perhaps a petite white pumpkin...
or another creepy crawler to finish the look....
finally....a collage of all my spooky-vintage love for a little fun....
well that's all for now my dear friends...
thanks so much for stopping by.
I am truly honored and humbled each and every time you take the time visit with me:)
.

This looks wonderful! I love the candles in the jars. What did you put in the jars to hold the candles in place? I would love to know!

Best wishes,
Natasha.

It's gorgeous!!! I love everything about your mantel. Except I am deathly afraid of candles on the mantel. Only because of a bad experience where I almost burnt my house down. Hopefully your don't have anything hanging on the wall above the candles that could possibly burn.
